Bookkeeper (QuickBooks exp. req.) Description
Our client in the IT consulting industry is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Woodbridge, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate billing, efficient collections, and timely vendor payments. You’ll play a critical role in monitoring cash flow, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records, while working closely with leadership to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong AR/AP and collections experience, excellent communication skills for handling client and vendor relationships, and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies. Bookkeeper (QuickBooks exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Generate and send customer invoices in QuickBooks
• Track accounts receivable and proactively follow up on overdue balances
• Manage collections efforts with professionalism and persistence
• Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and billing discrepancies
• Prepare and process vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate AP cycles
• Reconcile accounts payable/receivable and resolve any discrepancies
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular reporting to leadership
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly
• Assist with payroll entry and general ledger maintenance as needed
• Support budgeting and financial tracking processes
Bookkeeper (QuickBooks exp. req.) Qualifications
• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience required
• Strong AR and AP experience required
• Proficiency with QuickBooks required
• Must be willing to work in the office in Woodbridge, Virginia
