Business Analyst, Power Trading Systems, Gas & Power Trading IT (Contractor) TotalEnergies Gas & Power Trading (TGP) and its affiliates are expanding rapidly as part of the company’s transition to power. The acquisition of renewable assets, batteries, and CCGTs has led to significant growth in trading volumes, a larger geographic footprint, and increased urgency for process automation. The Physical & Intraday Trading team supports Short‑Term Power and Asset Trading functions with high‑performance trading systems, including automated/algorithmic trading capabilities and forecasting/optimization services. TotalEnergies aims to replace its current ETRM with a modern, cross‑asset platform. Activités In this role you will draft business/functional requirements for software engineering and third‑party system providers, participate in the Orchestrade project to replace in‑house ETRM, and contribute to testing and quality assurance processes. Business Analysis & Solutions Design Act as an interface to the business, ensuring understanding of objectives and priorities, and proactively propose value‑adding solutions. Configure the system via the GUI for business readiness (setup, workflow, template). Work with the business to define business/functional requirements and ensure validation and consistency with the trading IT landscape. Collaborate with the technical team on solutions design and delivery. Work with the vendor team on externally managed core development. Prepare and execute test plans, ensuring compliance with user/business/functional specifications and IT control framework. Work closely with BAs and IT resources across the Trading IT organization, especially in migration contexts. Leverage general knowledge to propose business process improvements. Service Delivery & Support Prepare project plans and other change initiatives, and contribute to their implementation. Liaise with the business on all aspects of service delivery and promote IT solutions delivered. Manage a backlog of change requirements and assist in their delivery. Provide user support and help resolve incidents and problems. Profil du candidat Act as an interface between the business/users and software engineering teams or third‑party system providers, define requirements, and contribute to solution delivery while ensuring quality and business expectations are met. Provide general support, document, train, and share knowledge. 2–3 years of work experience in a utility or commodity trading environment, preferably with knowledge of energy markets. Strong interest in IT and technology, with experience in software engineering and application management. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously, work under pressure, communicate effectively, and pay attention to detail. Experience in Project Management, DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies, and requirements engineering is desirable. Knowledge of front‑to‑back system flows and trade lifecycles, including different physical and derivatives instruments and their respective risks and P&L measures. Degree level education in IT, technology, or engineering discipline. Fluent in English; competency in French is advantageous.
