Physician Liaison / Scheduler

Position Summary

The physician liaison / scheduler plans and coordinates live physician and HCP interviews and occasional pop surveys, working with editorial and member marketing to give Medscape a strong sense of whats actually happening in HCPs professional lives to help drive more engaging and revistable content.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, networking and organizational abilities, and an understanding of health care professional roles and responsibilities. This position understands social listening and mapping member opinions to audience needs. This position should be adept at managing multiple projects and changing priorities and working within a matrixed organization.

This role is based in Atlanta and reports to the Executive Director, Omnichannel Content

Key role responsibilities


  • Identifies and schedules HCPs, especially physicians, for live interviews, keeping a steady stream of live interviews happening
  • Coordinates with staff interviewers across editorial and marketing.
  • Organizes and indexes interview recordings and transcripts
  • Maps key feedback from HCPs against other member input (customer feedback, social listening, marketing surveys, etc.)
  • Works with editors, omnichannel content innovation and ICD groups to familiarize them with interview results, ensuring that results get to those who can affect content
  • Works with Executive Director and other omnichannel content editors to identify additional content innovation opportunities


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in audience development and user opinion work.
  • Understanding of audience makeup and the differences between various segments of existing and potential audience
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of health and medical topics, ideally with some familiarity with healthcare professional needs
