About This Position The Trades Apprentice is a valuable part of the Sulphur Housing Authority, assisting the maintenance repairman in vacant unit turnover, performing a wide variety of unit maintenance and repair tasks with assistance. This entry level position provides an opportunity to learn the skills required for the Maintenance Repairman 1 position. Minimum Qualifications No experience or training is required. Job Duties Assist Repairman 1 or 2 in the following: Clean out units including hauling furniture, wipe all counters and cabinets Scrub appliances and fixtures, repair or replace if needed Repair sheetrock where damaged Repair/Install doors, windows, and floor tiles where needed Install light fixtures and outlets if needed Paint units Position Details Appointment Type: Probational Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group. Work Schedule: 7am–5pm, Monday – Thursday; Friday off. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Benefits are offered.
