About The Role The SEO + GEO opportunity and upside at Rippling is among the most impactful roles in tech. You’ll build and scale SEO to elevate our organic search game, oversee fundamental SEO practices from author pages to URL structures, and drive high‑value rankings toward the bottom of the funnel. The role blends builder, strategist, and innovator skills to meet the future where AI propels search. What You Will Do Deep‑dive into our current website and SEO efforts to identify major opportunities. Obsession over creating winning content that ranks at the top of SERPs for high‑value keywords. Improve rankings via site layout, internal linking, backlinks, product pages, and more. Prioritize which keywords and search terms to rank for ahead of market shifts. Build backlinks and improve product reputation through innovative outreach. Define go‑forward content and tracking strategy to inform technology and people choices. Stay ahead of AI search trends, algorithmic shifts, and evolving SERP features for our GEO strategy. Evolve strategy based on performance, persona insights, and new products, shipping experiments and owning success metrics. Build workflows, edit content, and execute a winning strategy. Collaborate with content, design, web, engineering, PMM, and other teams. What You Will Need At least 5 years of SEO experience, ideally in‑house SaaS with demonstrable revenue impact. Deep understanding of SEO best practices and ability to audit and recommend site changes. Strong technical SEO foundations and experience building scalable sites. Proficiency with SEO and CMS tools such as Ahrefs, Clearscope, and Google Search Console. Excellent writing and editing skills to craft clear, engaging stories. Strategic, experimental mindset for content prioritization and rigorous tracking. Data‑driven decision maker who coordinates with stakeholders and prioritizes by impact. Project management excellence, clear communication, and strong collaboration. Curiosity and familiarity with emerging AI platforms shaping discovery. Nice‑to‑haves Experience optimizing for AI‑first search engines. Relationships with writers, link builders, and other SEO experts. Experience with B2B SaaS keyword strategies. Ownership of side websites that rank well and generate revenue. SEO A/B testing experience. Successful recovery from a declining site.
